In 2004 we had the pleasure of welcoming Multi Story Theatre Company, from Devon in South West England, an award winning, high profile theatre company who annually tour the whole of Britain as well as countries in Europe, and Canada where they perform at the Toronto International Milk Festival - one of the most prestigious Children's Theatre Festivals in the world and a hugely inspiring event. Multi Story joined us in Chile and Peru to offer a series
of performances and workshops to schools and other institutions. Gill Nathanson and Bill Buffery are joint directors, writers and actors for Multi Story. As their name suggests, Multi Story cleverly combine storytelling and theatre to create much of their own original material, as well as adaptations of well known classic tales. They brought two productions with them: The Firebird, based on the Russian folk legend, for primary pupils and Dancing with Angels, conceived and written by Multi Story, an allegorical fairytale for teenagers and adults. Multi Story's visit was made possible in part by the support of The British Council Chile. Multi Story delivered a special series of performances and workshops for The British Council Chile in collaboration with the Chilean Ministry of Education's "Plan Inglés" incentive.
