The well-known tale of the little girl who goes wandering in the woods plus an amusing, participatory modern version told in "rap".

The nursery tale about the man-shaped ginger cake that jumps out of the oven and runs so fast he escapes everyone, until he meets The Fox...

1 The Animals Dinnertime
Graham Langley’s trademark story for small children full of fun repetition and joining in.

1 The Highest Castle in the World
A proud king wants a castle higher than his neighbours’ – with disastrous consequences.

1 The Three Billy Goats Gruff
A small children’s favourite. Three billy goats need to cross a bridge to the field on the other side but the ugly, goat-eating troll who lives under the bridge won’t let them. Can the goats defeat the troll? A story with lots of joining in, including an action song.

1 The Tee-shirt
A sailor goes to sea in his new boat but crashes three times. This story uses one of the children’s names on the sail of his boat.

1 The Giant Turnip
A man grows a turnip but it is too big to pull out of the ground. He gets his wife and children to help him … but that’s still not enough. The children in the audience join the story to help the storyteller pull the turnip up.

One of England’s best-known giant legends from the county of Shropshire.

1 2 My Quigly and My Wiggly
A very participatory story (!) about friendship and games for very small children. Told with gestures, words and actions.

2 Jack and the Beanstalk

2 Tom Tit Tot- An English version of Rumpelstiltzkin
About the strange little man who helps the miller's daughter marry the king by spinning straw into gold and in return asks her to guess his name, on one cruel condition…

2 3 The Shooting Stars
Twin tales telling the story of how stars were born to the night sky.

2 3 The Cat’s Drum
The story that tells how the cat got its purr. Full of energy, questions, joining in and shouting.

2 3 The Three Kingdoms
A moral tale for children about three sons who go to seek their fortunes. Only the youngest succeeds after a series of chance encounters and tests. A story with repetition and joining in.

2 3 The Two Cockerels
A grey cockerel (rooster) is jealous of the special treatment that is given to the beautiful red and green cockerel – so it decides to do something about it. Two children from the audience are asked to come up and assist with this story.

2 3 The Proud Elephant
An Indian story about a bullying elephant who is finally defeated by two ants.

2 3 4 Gelert
Legend based on a true story about Prince Llewelyn who returns from battle to make a fatal decision based on a first impression and later bitterly regrets his ensuing action.

A version of the globally known “The Phantom Hitchhiker”.

A tale involving juggling, created by Graham Langley to tell the amazing story of why juggling was invented.

Jack is the classic fool and there are many amusing stories about him. This one is about his amazing good luck when out hunting.

A Scandinavian story about a simple lad who outwits a Troll.

An African story of a boy who wants to be a musician but has to defy his father and leave his home. A story about determination, musicianship and self-esteem.

A Middle Eastern story about an old woman who is rejected everywhere she goes. She meets a young man who is always welcome wherever he goes. What ensues is a story about the truth in stories.

A poor boy falls in love with a princess but he thinks that his love is unreciprocated. In despair he leaves the town and meets a magician who can make him into a prince – but is that enough?

3 The Wizard of Alderley Edge
Another Arthurian legend, this time about the wizard Merlin and gold hidden under a hill.

3 Mr Fox
The story of a bride who discovers a terrible truth about her future husband and determines to trick him on her wedding day…

3 4 The Piper’s Boots
A poor Scots bagpiper with very cold feet finds a dead man in the snow. He decides to take the dead man’s boots, but has great difficulty removing them. A comically gruesome story with an unexpected outcome, ideal for this age group. Includes participation with sounds effects, etc.

3 4 Lady Ragnall - An Arthurian Story
In return for the answer to a riddle King Arthur unwisely promises a wizened old woman anything she wants. She asks to marry one of his Knights of the Round Table, but who would agree to marry her? The story has a surprising end which teaches Arthur a lesson.

3 4 Sir Gawain and the Green Knight
Sir Gawain, of Arthur’s Round Table of Camelot, accepts a challenge from a mysterious green knight. As a result he must face a probable death and struggles to decide whether his knightly virtues are more important than his life…

3 4 The Unicorn and The One Wish
A poor huntsman who spares the life of a unicorn is given one wish in return. But what should he wish for? The class are asked to help him make his wish.

3 4 The Bride of the Lindworm
A fairy story of how a childless queen is helped by a witch to give birth to twins. However, the queen’s first child is not human: she gives birth to a slug. Years later, the slug demands a willing bride

3 4 The Story of Fear
A short Sufi teaching story.
